Our Programs

BPCP brings together 16 member organizations across Balboa Park through a shared set of programs and initiatives. Some are public-facing, like the Balboa Park Explorer pass and community outreach efforts. Others support the people who run the Park day to day, including professional development through the Learning Institute and shared work on sustainability.

About Community

The Balboa Park Cultural Partnership values the partnership of community members and stakeholders in the development of the Cultural District and its experiences. Through the Balboa Park Explorer program, we work with our participating museums to provide access to thousands of visitors from throughout the San Diego region and beyond.

About Balboa Park Cultural District

The Cultural District is an approximately 400-acre area nestled within Balboa Park, a 1,200-acre city and regional park sitting on unceded Kumeyaay land in San Diego, California, and one of the most visited attractions in Southern California by people in and outside of the state.

About Balboa Park Explorer

The Cultural Partnership manages the Balboa Park Explorer Pass on behalf of the participating Balboa Park Cultural District museums. Launched in 2014, the Balboa Park Explorer Pass provides access to 16 museums in the Cultural District. Visitors can choose to visit for a day, seven days, or all year long - it’s one convenient and affordable way to see all that the Cultural District has to offer!
